Hiriya Café

The Hiriya Café is an initiative of the Dan Municipal Sanitation Association in cooperation with Zionism 2000, the non-profit organization Friends of Ariel Sharon Park, and the youth advancement unit of the Ramat Gan municipality.

This social enterprise hires at-risk youth from Ramat Gan. By managing and working at the café, these young people can return to a normal lifestyle and receive the professional and social tools they need to function in society. At the same time, they learn within an external study framework and take part in a goal-oriented group education program. All of the café's profits are invested in educational activities and scholarships to benefit young people at risk. The Hiriya Café is based on green values, and aims to reduce waste, recycle, use reusable or biodegradable cutlery, and compost.
